Seasons of Light

The Central Coast Philharmonia Choir launches its 2026 season with the first concert Seasons of Light – the music of Gjeilo – a concert inspired by the breathtaking music of contemporary composer Ola Gjeilo.

Drawing on themes of time, light, earth and eternity, this programme journeys through the four seasons; Autumn, Winter, Summer and Spring – weaving together Gjeilo's atmospheric works with a curated selection of complementary composers. Gjeilo's music is known for its sense of space, warmth, and cinematic beauty and this concert invites the audience to experience that feeling of vastness and serenity. With selected pieces featuring solo instrumentalists, expect moments of intimate stillness as well as powerful choral resonance.
