Where the Earth Meets the Sky

Where the Earth Meets the Sky was Central Coast Philharmonia’s first concert of 2025, presented on Saturday 5 April at St John the Baptist Catholic Church, Woy Woy. Inspired by Earth Day, the program reflected on our shared journey on this beautiful planet and the friendships we form along the way.
The concert featured an uplifting selection of contemporary 21st century choral works celebrating nature, connection, and community. Through music rich in warmth and reflection, the performance explored the wonders of the Earth and the profound bonds created through shared song.
The program included works by Elaine Hagenberg, Sarah Quartel, Morten Lauridsen, Z. Randall Stroope, Ola Gjeilo, Stephen Paulus, and Matthew Lyon Hazzard. Central Coast Philharmonia was joined by the Central Coast Children’s & Youth Choir and local vocal ensemble Ebb & Flow, creating a collaborative and deeply resonant musical experience.
