Vivaldi Gloria

The Central Coast Philharmonia is proud to present Vivaldi Gloria and other choral masterpieces!
The hugely popular Vivaldi Gloria has been described as one of the most incredibly cheerful works ever written!
Vivaldi instructed, directed and wrote music for the orchestra and choir at the Ospedale della Pietà, a school for orphaned girls in Venice. Under his teachings, these women developed a wide reputation for their fine musicianship. No surprise to find we have three beautiful female soloists to listen to in the Vivaldi Gloria!
In this performance, the Central Coast Philharmonia is thrilled to be joined by some members of the brilliant AHE Alchemy. This group is an initiative of the Australian Haydn Ensemble that provides a unique mentoring opportunity for emerging instrumentalists.
The choir will also perform other exceptional choral masterpieces including Mozart’s Ave Verum Corpus and Jesu, Joy of Man’s Desiring by Bach.
Musical Director and conductor Patrick Brennan brings together the Central Coast Philharmonia, members of AHE Alchemy and soloists to create this not-to-be-missed concert!
