Requiem for the Living

Requiem for the Living is a choral composition in five movements by Dan Forrest, completed in 2013, an extended setting of the Requiem. The composer writes that his piece tells “a narrative just as much for the living, and their own struggle with pain and sorrow, as for the dead.”
Be prepared to let this music speak to your heart and to allow the silence to hover over you. The musical score lays groundwork passion with careful crafting of the forces arranged in a composition that makes this 40-minute work become an extended prayer for healing.
The Central Coast Philharmonia combines with the Central Coast Youth Orchestra to pour their musical gifts into this work under the amazing hand of Patrick Brennan.
A musical endeavour that is needed in the world today in times of grief and unrest - Requiem for the Living will hover over you transporting the listener on a journey of healing and peace.
This is a not to be missed concert.
