Central Coast Philharmonia performed Mozart’s Requiem in 2017 as the final concert of its season, presenting one of the great cornerstones of the classical choral repertoire.

The towering magnificence of the Requiem by Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart — a cornerstone of the classical repertoire, yet one veiled in speculation, myth, and half-truths — gripped both listeners and performers alike in awe of its beauty.

The sacred space and acoustics of St John the Baptist Catholic Church provided an ideal setting for this memorable finale to the 2017 concert season.

Our soloists were:

  • Sarah Ampil : Soprano
  • Anne Haslam : Mezzo-soprano
  • Blake Parham : Tenor
  • Alex Sefton : Bass

Reviews

  • This was a wonderful concert. The choir looked and sounded great. The soloists Anne, Alex, Sarah and Blake were fantastic as was the orchestra. Choristers worked very hard in preparing for this concert. We had an capacity audience of over 300. Feedback has been very extremely positive. This one I particularly liked:
