  • This was a wonderful concert. The choir looked and sounded great. The soloists Anne, Alex, Sarah and Blake were fantastic as was the orchestra. Choristers worked very hard in preparing for this concert. We had an capacity audience of over 300. Feedback has been very extremely positive. This one I particularly liked:

This was a huge undertaking involving the Central Coast Philharmonia, Central Coast Children's Choir, Katandra Voices, Central Coast Youth Orchestra and members of Symphony Central Coast.
  •
  • The audience was in raptures and the feedback has been excellent.
  •
  • Thank you to our faithful audience, Phil Rees, Patrick Brennan, Jo McMahon and the wonderful staff at The Art House, Wyong.

Miniatures Concert

Reviews

  • Thanks Philip Rees for a great night. It is always a buzz to perform to a full house. Great to see our loyal followers there as well as Carmen and Jubila people and those from St John the Baptist Church.
  •
  • Wonderful performances from Noah Peres, Hannah Greenshields, Angelique Tot and Warren Fisher (as Phil says - good to see him starting to overcome his shyness). The string ensemble was perfect for this intimate venue. The choir sounded fantastic – a great effort with only 9 weeks preparation.
  •
  • Can't wait to get along to Carmen next month with Phil and several choir members involved. For us, a couple of weeks rest then into preparations for Calling All Dawns - a collaboration with the Central Coast Conservatorium at The Art House, Wyong on 13th August. Don't miss that one!

MAGNIFICAT Concert

Reviews

  • Magnificent Magnificat! A truly memorable night at the beautiful St John the Baptist Church, Woy Woy. A very appreciative crowd of about 200 enjoyed fine singing and playing in the Central Coast’s most outstanding building.
  •
  • Soloists Warren Fisher, Anna Sandstrom, Kyle Williams, Vivian Caldwell and Amanda Hutton thrilled the audience with engaging performances. The choir has never been in better form. Well done! Another triumph for Musical Director, Philip Rees OAM.

Massive success

  • The MASSive concert was a massive success with all participating groups excelling in their performance.
  •
  • There was a repeat performance of MASSive as part of the Central Coast Conservatorium end of term concert where we once again joined forces with the Youth Orchestra, choir and Katandra Voices. A highlight was the solo voices from the Katandra Voices and the energy of the Youth Orchestra.
  •
  • The choir has commenced rehearsals for our end of year concert, which will feature the Magnificat setting of JS Bach and also one attributed to Pergolasi. We are looking forward to singing in the beautiful acoustics of St John the Baptist Catholic church at Woy Woy.
  •
  • Stay tuned for photos from MASSive and details for the November concert.
